To: Jared Ebert <br /> Date: December 29, 2017 <br /> Page 14 <br /> Response 26 <br /> The pre-dewatering monitoring program consists of 14 monitoring wells installed on site <br /> and 24 wells that neighbors have graciously allowed us to measure depths to <br /> groundwater. The depth-to-water measurements are occurring monthly in the site <br /> monitoring wells. One round of depth-to-water measurement in the neighbor's wells <br /> occurred during the irrigation season. We will be reaching out to those neighbors to ask <br /> permission to take readings this non-irrigation season. <br /> The current monitoring program and available data are described in Section 7 of the <br /> second submittal of the groundwater modeling report(provided subsequently). <br /> Comment 27 <br /> The Exhibit cites a groundwater study report (Telesto 2017b). Please submit this report. <br /> Response 27 <br /> The original report was generated as an addendum to Larimer County's special use <br /> permit application. It has subsequently been updated with newly gathered information <br /> and changes required by the mine plan. The updated report will be provided <br /> subsequently. <br /> Comment 28 <br /> LRM did not include an estimate of the consumptive use of water for the office and batch <br /> plant because municipal water will be used for this. However Rule 6.4.7(3) and (4) <br /> requires an estimate of the annual volumes of water to be used for these facilities and a <br /> projected amount from each of the sources of water to supply the project. Please provide <br /> this information. <br /> Response 28 <br /> LRM utilized a dynamic systems model (DSM) to evaluate its water requirements over <br /> the 10-year anticipated life of the Knox Pit. The consumptive use results of this model <br /> are documented in the request for a substitute supply plan from the Colorado Division of <br /> Water Resources (DWR, Attachment 8). <br /> Response to DBMS comments T E L E S T <br />
