Transit Mix batch plants
are no longer a good fit for our downtown or North Nevada, which are among our most dense
and growing neighborhoods. Because Transit Mix has pledged to close those batch plants and to
accelerate the reclamation of Pikeview if granted a permit to open a quarry on Hitch Rack
Ranch, this project will create new possibilities for these areas.
For these reasons among others, six of Colorado Springs' nine city councilmembers have
announced their public support for Transit Mix's application.
Sincerely,
1w bueck
Jill Gaebler
107 North Nevada Avenue, Suite 300 • TEL 719-385-5483 FAX 719-385-5495
Mailing Address: Post Office Box 1575, Mail Code 1549 • Colorado Springs, Colorado 80901-1575
Email: jgaebler@springsgov.com
