EXHIBIT G WATER INFORMATION
1. General
The site is located on a gravel terrace immediately west of the South Platte River. Although the
terrace is primarily dry, there are a number of existing ponds that were present before mining
and may possibly be as old as 130 years—the start of Alma Placer site mining. These ponds are
shown on Map C-1 and represent the pre-mine pond area. These pond acreages are given below:
Existing Pond ID Acreage Final Pond#
North 1 0,5 $ 0.6
Existing pond 8 0.38 7 1 0.4
2 E69 '6 1.1
4 1.18 4 1.4
€ast 1 1.43 5 Q.2
3 0.9
Total 4.27 5.2
Water available from the pump at the "Point of Diversion" in the South Platte River, as shown
on Map C-2, is owned by the High Mountain Mining Company, L.L.C. and allows water
extraction up to 5.0 cubic feet per second. The gold operation used this source in past mining and
processing activities.
The Operator also uses the Columbia Ditch located immediately east, uphill, and outside of the
permit area. Two existing takeoff ditches bring water to the permit area. This ditch can be used to
supply the site only to the point that the combined flow from both sources does not exceed 60.0
cubic feet per second. This ditch begins at the Columbia Reservoir north of the permit area and
can be intercepted at any location in the permit area to provide water to the site. The ditch is
earth lined and is approximately 3.0 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep. It is used during the spring,
summer and fall months and requires maintenance from time to time. This ditch may be used to
provide water to the mining operation and to supply ponds once the post mining site is ready for
development.
The 25 year peak flow for the drainage basin of the South Platte River just below the main
entrance to the site is 600 cfs. The 100 year floodplain of the South Platte River is shown on Map
Alma Placer Mine <,It%1 rs Kkr aecl xs.w lm PI 1
December 2017 G-1
