Exhibit E RECLAMATION PLAN
EXISTING RECLAMATION PLAN
All disturbed areas will be reclaimed for range type lands .
The desired result of reclamation is to provide a surface which
will support native vegetation. This surface must be a slope
which will permit equipment to traverse the area for seed bed
preparation and planting. Earth moving on the area involved in
this permit application will be completed in a manner which will
permit development of the desired surface .
All disturbed areas will be graded to rolling topography
suitable for range land. This will be accomplished by backfilling
mined out pit areas where sloping is needed and the use of
overburden as root zone as a integral part of the mining opera-
tion to the extent feasible . The areas will then be final graded
using dozers prior to replacement of available soil material .
Proposed post mining land is rangeland, the same as present
land uses in the vicinity where land has similar slope and soil
conditions .
All available top soil will be salvaged prior to disturbance
and redistributed on regraded areas prior to reseeding. This
topsoiling and revegetation work will be completed as soon as
each area is mined and no additional surface disturbance is
anticipated. Fertilizing and seeding will be carried out to the
extent practical using recommendations of the SCS as outlined in
EXHIBIT J and dated November 6 , 1990 .
Revegetation - Reclamation of all disturbed land will be for
rangeland. Slopes will be left so that livestock can graze on the
reclaimed area . The foregoing will be done after completion of
mining on areas that will not be redisturbed.
The Soil Conservation Service recommends fertilizing,
planting and mulching, @ 4000 lb/ac of clean straw or grass hay
for the seed bed.
PROPOSED CHANGES
Unless specifically discussed below, the reclamation methods
described and approved in the approved permit application will
remain unchanged. The following text explains the changes to the
reclamation plan as proposed in this amendment . Reclamation will
run concurrent with mining as the site is developed to reduce the
amount of reclamation required at any one time .
The current post mining land uses are listed as rangeland.
Please see the original plan and amendments and their adequacy
responses for details on the reclamation requirements approved.
The current Reclamation Plan for Area A, calls for the base
of the clay bed to be graded and any side slopes to be graded 3h
8 (revised 12/18/17)
