The mine is a reclaimed underground mine. <br />As such, there are no mine personnel on site. No operator’s representatives met the inspector on site. CAM <br />Mining has installed a new combination lock at the gate over Salt Creek. The combination was provided to the <br />inspector. There were no problems opening the gate. CAM has also installed a security camera. Unauthorized <br />access should be recorded by the camera. <br /> <br />Salt Creek was dry. The entire area was very dry. A snow storm is predicted for later in the day. Temperatures <br />were chilly and overcast. <br /> <br />Cattle were pastured in a field south of the entry gate. No cattle were in the pastures immediately surrounding the <br />gate. <br /> <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE – Rule 4.09 <br />Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> The reclaimed waste rock pile continues to be well vegetated and dominated by healthy sagebrush. The <br />mule deer had been hiding in the Waste Rock area before being spooked. No evidence of noxious weeds were <br />noted at the Waste rock pile. <br /> <br />FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18: <br /> Two mule deer does were observed on the permit area. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The area has been extremely dry. There are no signs of residual snow or ice anywhere on the reclaimed <br />mine site. Salt Creek was dry with no ice or snow in the drainage. <br />
