Work was then stopped for the day because of bad <br /> weather. <br /> The exposed geotextile along the western side of the channel from station 3+00 to station 4+40 <br /> was covered with soil. <br /> The first 18 feet of the channel (station 6+81 to station 6+99) were excavated with the base of <br /> the channel at a 3:1 slope and the sides at a 2:1 slope. This section of channel was then <br /> surveyed and compacted with approximately four passes of the mini compactor (a 3,490 pound <br /> Bomag). Starting from the headwall (station 7+01), the remaining channel was excavated down <br /> to station 6+05 and compacted down to station 6+55. <br /> 2.0 GEOTEXTILE <br /> Geotextile was unrolled lengthwise along the first 20 feet of the channel in three panels. There <br /> was approximately 6 feet of overlap between the panels. <br /> 3.0 RIPRAP <br /> 18" riprap was placed along the first 20 feet of the channel. <br /> 4.0 CONCRETE AND GROUT <br /> No concrete or grout were poured today. <br /> Page 1 <br />
