I am mystified by your
recommendation to terminate our NOI. I believe I had made it clear, in my phone
conversation with you in November, that we had been unable to contract for a small
backhoe to undertake the planned trenching, and, due to the likely onset of winter
weather, had elected to defer the prospecting operation until 2018.
If I hadn't made our intentions clear, permit me to do so now. Our intent is to commence
the operation next year, probably in May or June. And, as required by regulation, we will
provide the appropriate financial warranty prior to commencing the planned prospecting.
I estimate that the requested warranty of $5,290 is $500-$1,500 more than will be
required to reclaim the planned trenching and possible road; I recommend a reduced
amount -$4,800. I would like to discuss the amount further, before finalizing the figure. It
makes no economic sense, however, to provide the warranty now, some 5-6 months
ahead of commencing work.
I expect to be in Denver for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. I suggest a
meeting in your office anytime from December 21-29, any day you're working during
that period, with the objective of continuing our present NOI, anticipating the work to be
done, as I've said, in 2018.
