PERMIT #: M-2012-014
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: November 28, 2017
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection for the 112c Pawnee Aggregate Pit site. The inspection was conducted
by Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS met with Logan Bloemer of Dietzler Construction at approximately 1230. The
site entrance is located on the west site of Weld County 99 RD approximately 750 feet north of the intersection
with Weld County Road 112. The required postings were present at the site entrance
The active mining at the site at the time of the inspection was occurring near the south -center of the permit on
the north side of WCR 112 as shown on the attached map and photos. The total disturbed area at the time of the
inspection is approximately 16 acres. Approximately 5 acres of previously disturbed area is currently under
reclamation at this time. The reclamation vegetation appears to be doing very well, although the small piles of
topsoil in the reclaimed areas will need to be flattened or removed. All reclaimed areas will need to be no
steeper than 3H:1 V for final reclamation.
Only one issue was noted that will need to be resolved at this time. The boundary markers along the south
boundary of the permit and south of WCR 112 were not present. The entire permit boundary needs to be clearly
delineated, therefore these markers will need to be replaced and maintained as specified on the first page of this
report.
As previously observed, there has been good progress with concurrent reclamation at this site, and the site
appeared in general to be well run and in compliance. Efforts to control cheat -grass and other undesirable
weeds will need to be maintained.
No other issues or problems were noted during the inspection. This concluded the inspection and DRMS left
the site at approximately 1330.
Inspection Contact Address
Logan Bloemer
Dietzler Construction Corporation
5027 CR 37
Yoder, WY 82244
