Ms. Amy Eschberger
REcEI D
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety NOV 2 8 2417
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 0
Denver, CO 80203MIN1NG, h NATION
Ar
November 25, 2017
Ms. Eschberger,
As a property owner and resident who lives within an approximate two mile area of the
proposed Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry, I strongly object to Transit Mix Concrete Co.
application M2017-049 to establish a quarry on Hitch Rack Ranch.
The application fails to protect my water resources; if I lose my water resource I do not
have a backup plan for water. Trucking in water to a cistern at my property is a
ridiculous consideration/option. In addition, the application fails to protect the numerous
wildlife habitats and the easement rights of several property owners along Little Turkey
Creek Road. I urge the Mine Land Reclamation Board (MLRB) to deny TM's application.
I request that both the Pre-hearing Conference and MLRB Hearing be conducted in
Colorado Springs.
Regards,
Kathie Rawson
11795 Calle Corvo
Colorado Springs, CO 80926
719-576-3886
kltrain7@gmail.com
