Course road gravel is still
present and topsoil does not appear to have been placed. No history or seeding has been
found with in the bond release documentation or previous Annual Reclamation Reports.
Please provide updated maps and acreage Information after removing this parcel
a, Response: PSCM has updated the associated bond submittal maps to reflect the acreage
changes and has included them in this adequacy response.
2. Erosional down -cutting was observed along the right side ofRoad FI with in Section 2.
Please tip tap to prevent further erosion of this drainage channel.
a. Response: PSCM has placed rip rap check dams throughout the down cutting areas. Your
pictures from the October Complete inspection documented the work completed by PSCM.
J. Patches of toad0ax were noted and referenced below as well as thistle, which should be
mitigated at an appropriate time to effectively manage these weeds. Large toad flax patch at
322,010.6, 4,476,639.2 meters.
a. PSCM generally performs weed spraying efforts in the spring, with some thistle application in
the fall. The areas noted during the inspection have been noted for o4Lr weed spraying
contractor for the spring of 2018. At the time of the adequacy letter the toadflax had already
gone to seed and PSCM would not have been able to effectively spray the weeds.
4. Two spoil springs were noted along SIIMP-6 down channel from stock pond T-29. The upper
spring had a small flow and some iron precipitate. The second was not flowing and almost
stagnant with no observed iron precipitate. Please provide the Division additional
information and discussion on these spoil springs. Include any sampling data or flow history.
Locations are noted below.
Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC • 29515 Routt County Road #27.Oak Creek, Colorado 80467
Telephone (970) 870-2718
