Randall, Executive Director | Virginia Brannon, Director 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Denver, CO 80203 November 20, 2017 Barbara Chambliss 199 Clearwater Road Carbondale , CO 92382-1418 Re: Proposed Decision Permit Renewal Application No. 4 (RN-4 ) Bowie No. 2 Mine (Permit No. C-1996-083) Dear Ms. Chambliss: The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Bowie Resources, LLC on July 25, 2016 for the Bowie No. 2 Mine . In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by the Division in the Delta County Independent. The underground mine is located approximately 5 miles Northeast of Paonia, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: Portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 22, Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. Portions of Sections 33 and 34, Township 12 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. Copies of the renewal application a re available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at the Paonia Public Library, 2 3rd Street, Paonia, CO 81428. A Copy of the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance” is available at Delta County Clerk and Recorder, 501 Palmer Street, #211, Delta, CO 81416 and at the Division offices .
