November 15, 2017 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine JDM <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br />Ditches and culverts throughout the mine site were stable with no problems noted. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> <br />No permitting actions are on-going with the Division. Construction of development borehole 310118-7 was in <br />progress at the time of the inspection. The site consisted of the borehole pad, an active mud pit and access road. <br />Equipment on site included the drill rig, a back hoe tractor, two flatbed trailers and trucks, and a water truck. No <br />issues were noted. <br /> <br />The back-up mine fan construction continues with no problems noted. <br /> Development Drillhole Mud Pit Backup Mine Fan Installation <br /> <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES – Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br /> <br />Refuse Pile - 2/3/4 refuse was stable and compacted at the time of the inspection with no material being stockpiled <br />at the time of the inspection. Grading allowed good run-off to ponds. <br />Refuse Pile - 5 was well compacted and stable at the time of the inspection. A small number of stockpiled piles <br />were in place and have yet to be spread and compacted. Both sites showed good run-off to the ponds via the <br />collection ditches with no rills or gullies identified on the out slopes of the piles. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> <br />The Deserado Mine road is well maintained and in good condition. The haul road from the facilities area to the <br />refuse disposal area was stable with no problems noted, with the exception of the following: <br />- The roadside ditch has at the straw bales has begun to fill with sediment, this ditch should be cleaned to <br />ensure proper functionality. <br /> <br />The conveyor corridor road, access roads and light-use roads were in good condition with no problems noted. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />
