Page 02 November 03, 2017
Subject: Annual Report Permit Number: M —1977 -410
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
From: Tom Hendricks / Cross Gold Mine at Caribou, Colorado
Mine and Caribou District. So the property is being maintained daily, year round
in top shape.
The mine remained closed during this period and no mining took place. I'm
hopeful that past legal issues that caused our closure in 2012, are rapidly put
behind us and that we can plan to resume small mining activities in late 2017.
I also had a small part time crew assist me with extensive mine site clean-up
work at the Comstock mine near Caribou Hill. We built new core storage racks/shelves in the main
mine building there and placed core neatly in box order and hole order on the
shelves.
We also loaded up on five tandum Keeter trucks with debris that we brought
out of the Cross Gold Mine from the lower levels in March/April 2012. This area
was then cleaned and graded.
We purchased new 6 x 6 and 3 x 8 Douglas Fir mine timbers to repair old
timbers in the 140 foot snow shed at the mines portal
I was also able to purchase a 1999 Volvo 3 yard rubber tired loader at Ritchie
Bros. auction in December of 2016 for the mine. This loader has sure helped me
with snow plowing conditions during the winter months.
We also completed a new NI 43-101 Professional Study on the Mine through
HRC Consultants in Lakewood, Colorado. I huge amount of data recovery work
took place for the research on this new 43-101 report.
I also started work with the Volvo Loader on the old Idaho Tunnel dump site to
build the top part of the new road that will eventually connect the Caribou Mine
with the Cross Mine. This work only occurred on the mine dump and no new
