All review and comment periods <br />as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate fro m this date <br />of filing. <br /> <br />Bowie Resources, LLC proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation <br />operations on land located approximately 3 miles North of Paonia. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />In all or portions of the following: <br /> Sections 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, 24, and 25 Township 13 South, Range 92 West of <br />the 6th P.M. and <br /> Sections 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, and 32 of Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Gray Reservoir, Bowie . <br /> <br />In Permit Renewal No. 7, Bowie Resources LLC is proposing to renew its permit at the Bowie No. <br />1 Mine for another five year term. Mining has ceased and reclamation activities are in progress. <br />No changes are proposed for the existing permit, permit boundary or disturbed area.
