Fag-1-1410INK, <br />-Y#M <br />Twentymile Coal, LLC (TC), 29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, <br />has submitted an application for renewal of the existing active Mining and Reclamation <br />Permit (Permit Number C-82-056) for the Foidel Creek Mine. <br />The mine permit area encompasses approximately 22,450 acres, located approximately 23 <br />miles southwest of Steamboat Springs on County Road 33, and approximately 7.3 miles <br />northwest of Oak Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and major surface <br />facilities are located adjacent to Foidel Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. <br />The Mine Permit Area includes portions of Routt County Roads 27, 33, and 37, and <br />mining and related activities may occur under or within 100 feet of the portions of these <br />roads within the Permit Area; RCR27 - from approximately 1 -mile south of the entrance <br />to Grassy Creek Ranch to approximately I -mile south of the intersection of RCR27 and <br />RCR33; RCR33 from the intersection of RCR33 and RCR179 to the intersection of <br />RCR33 and RCR27; and RCR37 from the intersection of RCR37 and RCR27 to a point <br />approximately 1.5 -miles southwest where RCR37 enters the canyon of upper Fish Creek. <br />The mine permit area is covered by the Cow Creek, Dunkley, Milner, Mount Harris, Oak <br />Creek, and Rattlesnake Butte USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle maps, and includes all or <br />portions of Sections 7 through 9, T4N, R86W; T5N, R86W, except Sections 34 through <br />36; and Sections 13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and 34 through 36, T5N, R87W. The <br />ownership, precise location, and boundaries of lands within the Permit are identified on <br />pages 2.03-13 through 2.08-18 and 2.03-22 and 2.03-23.1, and Map 1, of the Mine Permit <br />Application Package (PAP), and are included in this public notice by reference. <br />Copies of the PAP (less confidential materials) are available for inspection at the mine <br />office and the office of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety. A <br />copy of the Technical Revision application is also available for public inspection at the: <br />Office of Clerk and Recorder <br />Routt County <br />552 Lincoln Avenue <br />P.O. Box 773598 <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 <br />Written comments or objections to the Permit renewal application; a request for informal <br />conference summarizing the requestor's issue(s) and indicating whether or not the <br />requestor desires the conference to be held in the mine locale; or a request for a public <br />hearing (held in the mine locale) to determine whether the interests of the public and <br />affected landowners will be protected (re: proximity of mining operations to public roads) <br />should be submitted to the State of Colorado, Division of Reclamation, Mining, and <br />Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 within thirty <br />days of the last date of publication of this notice. <br />
