Case Narrative
Client: Norwest Corporation TestAmerica Job ID: 280-100110-1
Project/Site: Colorado Springs Transit
ID: 280-100110-1
Ldooratory: TestAmerica Denver
Narrative
CASE NARRATIVE
Client: Norwest Corporation
Project: Colorado Springs Transit
Report Number: 280-100110-1
With the exceptions noted as flags or footnotes, standard analytical protocols were followed in the analysis of the samples and no
problems were encountered or anomalies observed. In addition all laboratory quality control samples were within established control
limits, with any exceptions noted below. Each sample was analyzed to achieve the lowest possible reporting limit within the constraints of
the method. In some cases, due to interference or analytes present at high concentrations, samples were diluted. For diluted samples,
the reporting limits are adjusted relative to the dilution required.
Calculations are performed before rounding to avoid round-off errors in calculated results.
All holding times were met and proper preservation noted for the methods performed on these samples, unless otherwise detailed in the
individual sections below.
:IPT
,amples were received on 08/10/2017;the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and on ice. The temperature of the
coolers at receipt was 4.8C.
GC SEMIVOLATULES(Method 8015B)
The method 8015B required MS/MSD could not be performed for this batch, due to insufficient sample volume. Method precision and
accuracy have been verified by the acceptable LCS/LCSD analysis data.
Per client request,2-500 mL ambers were used for extraction. They were mixed in one large separatory funnel, spiked in the funnel and
the two ambers were both rinsed with McC12.The two jars are 100110-E-1 along with 100110-F-1.When weighing the volume, both jars
were weighed and also tared at the same time.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
RADIOCHEMISTRY(Method 900.0)
No analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
DISSOLVED METALS(Method 200.71200.8)
Laboratory generated MS/MSD analysis data have been provided. The MS/MSD for Antimony,Thallium, and Uranium method 200.8
exhibited spike compound recoveries outside the QC limits. The acceptable LCS analysis data indicated that the analytical system was
operating within control;therefore, corrective action is deemed unnecessary.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
GENERAL CHEMISTRY-VARIOUS
The hold time for Odor by method 2150B expired in transit to the subcontract laboratory for sample LTC-GW2-CH2. Please note that the
sample results should be considered estimated.
lditional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
TestAmerica Denver
Page 4 of 36 8/28/2017
