Case Narrative
Client: Norwest Corporation TestAmerica Job ID: 280-100141-1
Project/Site: Colorado Springs Transit
ID: 280-100141-1
L000ratory: TestAmerica Denver
Narrative
CASE NARRATIVE
Client: Norwest Corporation
Project: Colorado Springs Transit
Report Number: 280-100141-1
With the exceptions noted as flags or footnotes, standard analytical protocols were followed in the analysis of the samples and no
problems were encountered or anomalies observed. In addition all laboratory quality control samples were within established control
limits, with any exceptions noted below. Each sample was analyzed to achieve the lowest possible reporting limit within the constraints of
the method. In some cases, due to interference or analytes present at high concentrations, samples were diluted. For diluted samples,
the reporting limits are adjusted relative to the dilution required.
Calculations are performed before rounding to avoid round-off errors in calculated results.
All holding times were met and proper preservation noted for the methods performed on these samples, unless otherwise detailed in the
individual sections below.
;IPT
,amples were received on 08/10/2017;the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and on ice. The temperature of the
coolers at receipt was 2.2C.
Please note, all containers for sample LTC-GW-1 CH2 were not completely filled. However, sufficient volume was provided to perform the
requested analyses. The client was notified on 8/11/2017
GC SEMIVOLATULES(Method 8015B)
No analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
RADIOCHEMISTRY(Method 900.0)
Method(s)900.0: Gross Alpha/Beta Prep Batch 160-322294:
The gross alpha and beta detection goals were not met for the following samples due to a reduction of the sample size attributed to high
residual mass: LTC-GW-1 CH3(280-100141-3). Analytical results are reported with the detection limit achieved.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
DISSOLVED METALS(Method 200.7/200.8)
MS/MSD analyses were performed on sample LTC-GW-1 CH2.The MS/MSD for Antimony,Thallium, and Uranium method 200.8 exhibited
spike compound recoveries outside the QC limits. The acceptable LCS analysis data indicated that the analytical system was operating
within control;therefore, corrective action is deemed unnecessary.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
GENERAL CHEMISTRY-VARIOUS
Due to high analyte concentration or matrix interferences, some samples were analyzed at a dilution for various analyses. The reporting
limits have been adjusted relative to the dilution required.
otal Suspended Solids sample duplicate analysis data performed on sample LTC-GW-1 CH3 associated with QC batch
384037 exhibited RPD data outside the QC limits. The acceptable LCS analysis data indicated that the analytical system was
operating within control;therefore, corrective action is deemed unnecessary.
TestAmerica Denver
Page 4 of 43 8/24/2017
