Case Narrative
Client: Norwest Corporation TestAmerica Job ID: 280-70820-1
Project/Site: Colorado Springs Transit
ID: 280-70820-1
Lauoratory: TestAmerica Denver
Narrative
CASE NARRATIVE
Client: Norwest Corporation
Project: Colorado Springs Transit
Report Number: 280-70820-1
With the exceptions noted as flags or footnotes, standard analytical protocols were followed in the analysis of the samples and no
problems were encountered or anomalies observed. In addition all laboratory quality control samples were within established control
limits, with any exceptions noted below. Each sample was analyzed to achieve the lowest possible reporting limit within the constraints of
the method. In some cases, due to interference or analytes present at high concentrations, samples were diluted. For diluted samples,
the reporting limits are adjusted relative to the dilution required.
Calculations are performed before rounding to avoid round-off errors in calculated results.
All holding times were met and proper preservation noted for the methods performed on these samples, unless otherwise detailed in the
individual sections below.
'IPT
amples were received on 06/16/2015;the samples arrived in good condition, properly preserved and on ice. The temperature of the
coolers at receipt was 2.2 C.
Please note:the Metals volume was received at a neutral pH.The laboratory preserved additionally.
TOTAL METALS(Method 200.7/200.8)
MS/MSD analyses were performed on sample LTC-1.The MS/MSD for method 200.7 Boron exhibited spike compound recoveries outside
the QC limits. The acceptable LCS analysis data indicated that the analytical system was operating within control;therefore, corrective
action is deemed unnecessary.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
GENERAL CHEMISTRY-VARIOUS
Sample LTC-1 (280-70820-1)[2X]required dilution prior to analysis for Hexavalent Chromium. The reporting limits have been adjusted
accordingly.
The Total Alkalinity sample duplicate analysis data associated with QC batch 280-283205 exhibited RPD data outside the QC limits. The
acceptable LCS analysis data indicated that the analytical system was operating within control;therefore, corrective action is deemed
unnecessary.
No additional analytical or quality issues were noted, other than those described above or in the Definitions/Glossary page.
TestAmerica Denver
Page 3 of 24 6/30/2015
