Transit MixConcrete
o Co.0
necessary information for surface mine planning. These data were used to estimate a"Fair Quality
to Good Quality" RMR designation for the basement rock for mining bench stability evaluation.
No additional mineralization was observed in Section 16.
(g) Primary and Secondary Commodities
The primary commodity produced onsite is crushed and screened granite and diabase. The
screen plant will generate various rock gradations as required by product demand. All materials
produced from the site will be processed at the site. Excess fines from the plant may be sold as
fill material, and material not sold may be mixed to provide a base over the reclaimed surface
prior to placing topsoil.
(h) Incidental products
No incidental products (surplus non-commodity) products will be produced and sold as part of
the mining operation.
(i) Explosives use and proof of surrounding stability
Explosives will be required for mining activities at the Quarry. Transit Mix has designed the
attached Blasting Plan in coordination with the blasting contractor. The plan demonstrates that
off-site areas will not be adversely affected by blasting per Rule 6.5(4) of the Construction
Materials Rules and Regulations. Transit Mix will also perform pre-blast surveys as discussed in
the attached Pre-Blast Survey Plan.
Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry Permit Application
October 3, 2017 D-24
