' o Transit Mix Concrete Co.
Plant
At the start of mining operations, a portable plant will be used to crush and screen the rock. The
portable plant will use a jaw crusher, cone crushers, a scalping screen and up to two finish
screens. Once the plant pad has been excavated within the Quarry footprint and the Quarry
sufficiently developed, after approximately 4 years, the permanent plant will be located within the
pit extents as shown on Figure C-4. The permanent plant will use a jaw crusher, two cone
crushers, a scalping screen, and two finish screens, which will be similar in function, but larger
than, the portable plant. A separate, smaller riprap plant consisting of a grizzly feeder and
associated conveyor belts will also be included with the permanent plant facility. The permanent
plant equipment will be electric powered with power supplied by the local electric utility, and the
portable plant will be electric powered with power generated on site during the development
period. The permanent plant components are listed below in Table D-5. Transit Mix has sized
the equipment, but the manufacturer has not been selected; therefore, the manufacturer may
change for some or all of the components. Similarly sized equipment will be used regardless of
the manufacturer.
Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry Permit Application
October 3,2017 D-14
