6.4.1(1) Affected Land
The May Day Idaho Mine Complex permit boundary is comprised of 295.79 acres of which 45.7 acres are
affected directly or indirectly by proposed mining activities. The township and range of the permit
boundary is in Section 21 and Section 28, T36N, R1IW, N.M.P.M. See Figure A-1.
The main entrance to the May Day Idaho Mine Complex Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Grid is
12 S 758992 4137578.
The May Day Idaho Mine Complex includes the following affected lands:
May Day No. 1, May Day No. 1 East, May Day No. 2, May Day No. 2 East, May Day No. 3, Pay
Day Idaho, Chief, La Plata River Bridge, Base of Operations, Pre -Existing Roads, New Access
Road and designated buffer zones within the identified permit boundary.
Sunrise Mining, LLC ("Sunrise") has acquired (via ownership of La Plata County Land, LLC) or
leased the following legal descriptions for these affected areas:
May Day No. 1: a tract of land located in Section 28, T36N, RI IW, N.M.P.M. and being more
particularly described as follows: beginning at a point from which the WIA corner of said
Section 28 bears S 70°58'59"W a distance of 3268.40 feet, Thence, N 33°15'W a distance of
300.0 feet, Thence N 56°45 E a distance of 500.0 feet, Thence S 33°15'E a distance of 300.0 feet,
Thence S 56°45'W a distance of 500.0 feet, to the point of beginning and containing 3.2 acres.
May Day No. 1 East: May Day No. 1 East is illustrated on Figure D-4 and being considered to
store run -of -mine rock from the May Day No. 1. The total affected land including buffer is 0.8
acres.
