Mitchell. <br /> We received your correspondence dated September 11,2017 on September 18,2017 initiating <br /> consultation%vith our oftice under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106) <br /> for the above referenced undertaking. <br /> The above referenced permit application is for land owned by the Bureau of land i\Ianagement (BI,Nf). <br /> As such,BI NI consulted with our office in June 2017. A survey of the undertakings area of potential <br /> effects recorded one historic cultural resource site (51%Il;7372, the Amethyst Queen NEne). 111e site was <br /> determined to be not eligible for listing to the National Register of Historic Places. <br /> Based on the information previously received from BI AI,we believe a finding of no historic properties <br /> affected is appropriate for the proposed undertaking pursuant to 36 C17t 800.4(d)(1). <br /> Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered in the course of the project, «ork must <br /> be interrupted until the resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register eligibthtA <br /> criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation vvitli our office pursuant to 36 CFR 800.13. Also, should the <br /> consulted-upon scope of the-,work change please contact our office for continued consultation under <br /> 36 CFR 800. <br /> We request being involved in the consultation process «-ith the local government,which a, stipulated <br /> in 36 CFR 800.3 i, required to be notified of the undertaking, and Nil-ith other consulting parties. <br /> \dduional information provided by the local government or consulting parties might cause our <br /> FI e to re-eV aluate our eliglbiltty and potential effect Findings.
