Actual top of the feature is unknown, but it appears to have
been approximately 10 cm below ground surface. The size and location of the feature within the
site grid system necessitated one 1 by 1 m unit being established to investigate it.
The feature's depth is 9 cm below the 200N 200E unit datum. Overall feature shape appears to
be roughly oval in planview with an uneven basin shaped bottom. Moderate root action is causing
minor distortion to the overall shape. Feature fill consisted of dark stained sediment (10YR3/1,
Very Dark Gray); varying dense charcoal flecking and one 10 to 5 cm diameter size class (0.10
kg) piece of HAR. One piece of unidentified species small sized mammal bone fragment was also
recovered from the feature (FS# MK2-F1-3).
Tetra Tech September 29, 2017 15
