Slopes <br />appeared stable although some minor rills were noted. <br />o Seedlings noted in Phase I reclamation consisted of shrubs, perennials and grasses apropos to the seed <br />mixes included in the application. <br />o Phase II slopes appeared stable at time of inspection with no observed evidence of gullies, scarps, <br />slumps or slides. No depressions interfering with normal drainage were noted. The vegetative cover <br />on Phase II areas appeared stable and adequatly vegetated including strong shrub counts with the <br />exception: of bare areas, some areas of C list weed species and portions with limited grass species <br />diversity as indicated below: <br />1. Areas of Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) were noted in parcels KA11, ZA12 and ZA13. In KA11 Bromus <br />tectorum existed along ridge and on north facing slopes. In parcel FA11 this was noted on top of ridge looking <br />south on south facing slope, and on north west slope looking south as per map, and near road. As Bromus <br />tectorum is a C listed weed species mitigation opportunities for consideration are provided in Rule 4.15.7(5)(b). <br />TMI and DRMS will work together to find the best solution for mitigating C list weed species of concerning <br />extent. Shrub count in parcels ZA12 and ZA13 appeared numerous and well established. <br />2. Other weeds noted with minimal extents included Lactuca serriola (prickly lettuce), Crisidium Arvense and <br />Carduus nutans thistles (Canada and Musk, respectively) in lower portion of parcel ZAB, and Arctium Lappa <br />(burdock), on lower north facing slopes. <br /> <br /> Photo 10: Mixed grasses and shrubs.
