Golden,Colorado 80401 <br /> Environmental Consulting Phone: 720-272-1985 <br /> bleisure@irismitigation.com <br /> SCHWARTZWALDER MINE WEED MANAGEMENT UPDATE <br /> September 15, 2017 <br /> This weed management update and mapping is required as part of the State of Colorado <br /> Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) annual noxious weed control at the <br /> Schwartzwalder Mine. This reporting covers weed control activities conducted at the <br /> Schwartzwalder Mine during the period of October 1, 2016 to September 15, 2017. The areas <br /> sprayed are marked on Figure 1. <br /> Weed control was completed in two applications (mainly spot spraying) during the 2016/2017 <br /> growing seasons in all areas adjacent to the entry road into the mine site. Weed control was <br /> applied on both sides of the road, around the mine pad area, settling ponds and between the <br /> north and south waste rock piles. Weed control was also completed on a certain percentage of <br /> both the north and south waste rock piles. Treatment continued along both sides of the road to <br /> the crossing of Ralston Creek and up past the upper cut-off wall including Phase 1 mitigation <br /> areas (see Figure 1). The targeted noxious weed species are listed in Table 1 along with their <br /> classification on the Colorado Department of Agriculture noxious weed list. <br /> Schwartzwalder Mine 2017 Weed Management Update Page 1 <br /> September 15, 2017 <br />
