STATE OF
STATE DO Scott-DNR, Eric<eric.scott@state.co.us>
COLO
AECOM assessment of 5 Dam return line
1 message
Lazuk, Raymond <rlazuk@fmi.com> Fri, Sep 22, 2017 at 9:55 AM
To: "Scott- DNR, Eric"<eric.scott@state.co.us>
Eric,
wanted to get this evaluation to you from AECOM regarding the leakage from the 5 Dam seep return line. We also have
installed a weir plate at the end of the 5 Dam return line at 3 Dam to monitor the rate of leakage. The data thus far show
that it has remained consistent at between 200 and 250 gpm since I first notified you of this issue. Our plan for now is to
continue to monitor the rate of leakage and, if we see a significant change, we would open a valve to discharge the
seepage directly to the Mayflower TSF along the north cutout conveyance ditch (See Appendix B drawings in Mayflower
O&M Manual—TR-23). We intend to show these areas to Lucas when he is here next Wednesday.
Please let me know if you have questions or would like to discuss any of this further.
- Ray
Mayflower Seepwater Return 09-14-17.pdf
83K
