SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies that CDRMS will be provided with map(s) illustrating
the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate locations for
stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table 5-1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
During 2016, Trapper depleted topsoil piles Al -09, ZTS 4, Z2-07 and AET-1 for reclamation of parcels
Z -AB -16, K -A-16 and A -B-16. In preparation of pit advancement a portion of topsoil from G1-02 was
placed in two piles, 9MZ-3 and K2-15 for later use.
At the end of 2016, excluding stockpiles abandoned with the approvals of MR -155 and TR -94, there are
55 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 134.9 acres and storing approximately 2,903,628 cubic
yards of salvaged topsoil.
Presently there are no proposed approximate locations for new topsoil stockpiles in 2017. Trapper is
planning to utilize existing topsoil stockpiles and live haul stripping for the 2017 reclamation season.
GCR/BDN 2/17
[Annual ReporADRMSI6RPT\16TStext5-0]
