Site Type: Prehistoric Features and Artifact Scatter 4. General Component Description: Site is a discovery made approximately 30 cm below surface on the south side of the haul road being constructed as part of the Collom Expansion Project. The discovery is being handled per the Cultural Resource Protection Plan developed for cultural resource discoveries during ground disturbing activities associated with the project. The discovery is two thermal features with charcoal and heat altered rock. Associated artifacts observed around the features, but likely in secondary context due to top soil stripping activities, include one pieces of heat altered rock, one burned mammal rib bone, and one piece of debitage. All the material was recorded within the current disturbance area and flagged for avoidance. The horizontal extent of the buried cultrual component is currently unknown and additional intact sediments remain within the disturbance area. 5.
