The pro- <br />posed renewal will allow for contin- <br />ued mining and/or reclamation oper- <br />ations at the site. <br />The Keenesburg Strip Mine is a/an <br />surface operation located in Weld <br />County, approximately 7 miles North <br />of Keenesburg, Colorado. Coal in- <br />terest is state and private, and the <br />surface to be affected is private land. <br />The permit area encompasses ap- <br />proximately 225.55 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on <br />a finding that the proposed operation <br />will comply with all requirements of <br />the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101 <br />et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision <br />and Findings of Compliance", includ- <br />ing any stipulations, is on file for pub- <br />lic inspection at the Colorado Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, <br />Room 215 Centennial Building, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, and at the Weld County Clerk <br />and Recorder, 1402 N. 17th Avenue <br />, Greeley, CO 80631. Persons with <br />an interest that may be adversely <br />affected by the proposed decision <br />may request a formal hearing before <br />the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />on the proposed decision.
