pending review and approval of M-1981-185, 112d-2 Amendment, AM-2.
2. Is the affected area boundary clearly marked in accordance with Rule 3.1.12(2)? No.
a. Upon review and approval of M-1981-185, 112d-2 Amendment,AM-2, the affected area
boundary will be clearly marked by monuments or other markers.
3. Is the mine site in final reclamation (all material extraction and stockpile removal is
complete)? No.
a. Mining activities are pending review and approval of M-1981-185, 112d-2 Amendment,
AM-2.
4. What was the date of last excavation, processing or hauling activity at the mine? Unknown.
a. The May Day Idaho Mine Complex was developed near the turn of the century. To our
knowledge, active mining stopped in 1942 because of World War II. It is unknown what,
if any, excavation, processing or hauling occurred under prior owners between the early
1980s and 2013.
b. Between May 2016 and October 2016, reclamation activity occurred to complete the
repair and stabilization related to all outstanding corrective actions set forth in the
December 2011 CMLRB Order.
5. Does the mine operate more than 180 days per year? Yes.
a. No mining activities may occur pending approval of M-1981-185, 112d-2 Amendment,
AM-2. If approved,the mine will operate more than 180 days per year.
b. Activities related to compliance and permitting are currently in process year-round.
6. Has the mine been granted:
