The application was deemed complete on
August 28, 2017.

Minor Revision 423 seeks to permit the drilling of up to five shallow exploration holes in order to
determine the characteristics of the E-seam to the south of the current mine plan area. The holes will
be rotary drilled to a depth of 400-700’, and cased through the upper 50’ of unconsolidated material.
Temporary roads will be 12’ wide, and total a length of up to 1,500’. Up to four pads may be
constructed, with an area of 1/4 acre each. All proposed disturbance will be within the current
permit boundary. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area
currently approved for disturbance.

Permit Revision (PR), Permit Renewal (RN), or Technical Revision (TR) application materials are
available for review at the Gunnison County Clerk and Recorder, 221 N. Wisconsin, Gunnison, CO
81230 and at the Division’s Denver office. Minor Revision (MR) and Surety Release (SL)
application materials are available for review at the Division’s Denver office.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
