NOTICE OF PROPOSED <br />DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclama- <br />tion, Mining and Safety proposes to <br />approve Permit Renewal Application <br />No. 7 (RN -7), submitted by Coors <br />Energy Company for a coal mining <br />permit at the Keenesburg Strip Mine <br />(Permit No. C-1981-028). The pro- <br />posed renewal will allow for contin- <br />ued mining and/or reclamation oper- <br />ations at the site. <br />The Keenesburg Strip Mine is a/an <br />surface operation located in Weld <br />County, approximately 7 miles North <br />of Keenesburg, Colorado. Coal in- <br />terest is state and private, and the <br />surface to be affected is private land. <br />The permit area encompasses ap- <br />proximately 225.55 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on <br />D GL WKDW WK SRSRG RSD - <br />tion will comply with all requirements <br />of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act, Section 34 33 101 <br />et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the 'Proposed Decision <br />and Findings of Compliance', in- <br />FOGL D WLSODWLR L R O <br />for public inspection at the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, Room 215 Centennial Build- <br />ing, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, and at the Weld <br />County Clerk and Recorder, 1402 N. <br />17th Avenue , Greeley, CO 80631. <br />Persons with an interest that may <br />be adversely affected by the pro- <br />posed decision may request a for- <br />mal hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on the proposed <br />decision.
