(ASCI), the applicant for the referenced permit
amendment, be granted a fourth extension of time to effectively address several minor and one major adequacy
review issues from your Dec. 29, 2016 preliminary adequacy review and June 13, 2017 second adequacy review
of the referenced application package. The slope stability study for approval from CDOT to mine within 200 ft.
of their erosion control dikes on the Bradley property was approved by the technical reviewer on July 31, 2017
and we are awaiting approval from the Chief of Materials Engineering for CDOT Region 4 as he may have
other stipulations for the setback. Given this and the remaining issues in your June 13 adequacy review and the
site pre-op inspection, I feel that we may not make the decision date of August 10, 2017.
ASCI is requesting another 30-day extension of time from the original decision date of March 16, 2017 to
September 11, 2017 in order to complete the adequacy review approval process. I am certain we can get this all
wrapped-up significantly sooner than that date, but this way we are assured of enough time. I am also including
some minor revisions to the mine plan, Ex. C-2, as you had requested, showing the location of recycling and a
couple, of other items (topsoil pile and sedimentation ponds). No changes are being made to the actual mining
perimeter and cells-timing.
Please contact me for a confirmation of the new decision date and if there are any questions or concerns you
may have with this request for the added time extension.
Sincerel ,
 7
Rob Laird
Resource Manager
cc: file
