I discussed this area with our District Manager, and we
o not have significant concerns about this area for the following reasons:
1. It seemed to be an anomaly, and was not representative of the reclaimed area.
2. There were some, "good" grasses and sagebrush observed in the area as well.
3. It appeared to be confined to a limited area.
The Land Board defers to DRMS to enforce all rules and regulations that apply regarding the Phase III bond release that
Colowyo has requested. The Land Board would not object to releasing this area solely due to the presence of
ceatgrass, if DRMS believes that all requirements have been met for such release.
Regards, Phil
Phillip Courtney
Solid Minerals Leasing Manager
P 303.866.3454 x3313 I F 303.866.3152
1127 Sherman Street, Suite 300, Denver, CO 80203
phillip.courtney@state.co.us I www.colorado.gov/statelandboard
Zach Trujillo
Environmental Protection Specialist
COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
A17 Mining and safety
Department of Nd,JLVW Resources
P 303.866.3567 x 8164 1 F 303.832.8106
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
Zach.Trujillo@state.co.us ( mining.state.co.us
https://mail.google.com/mail/b/AJjsLraKOJKCzBuh5_8fG0420ywm84r4mAcKj-n6nfVhur_9MrLT/u/O/?ui=2&ik=deb7fOcd20&jsver=z3kHg2VWLDs.en.&v... 1/1
