The application was submitted by Coors <br />Energy Company on April 6, 2016 for the Keenesburg Strip Mine. In accordance with Rule <br />2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for <br />Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request <br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication <br />of the public notice by the Division in the Fort Lupton Press. <br /> <br />The surface mine is located approximately 7 miles North of Keenesburg, Colorado. The permit <br />area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />All or portions of Sections 2 and 11, T2N, R64W; and Sections 25 and 36, T3N, R64W; 6th Prime <br />Meridian. <br /> <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the <br />above address and at the Keenesburg Town Hall, 140 S Main, Keenesburg, CO 80643. A Copy of <br />the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance” is available at Weld County Clerk <br />and Recorder, 1402 N. 17th Avenue , Greeley, CO 80631 and at the Division offices. <br />
