Louis Head
Page 2
8/8/2017
Adequacy Item 4
There are conflicting statements on page 2.05-73 and 2.05-73a. On page 2.05-73 the woody
plant density sampling methodology states that belt transects of 50 meters x 5 meters will be
used. Yet on page 2.05-73a the text states that in the grassland areas belt transects of 50 meters x
2 meters will be used for woody plant density sampling. Please explain or correct this
discrepancy.
Adequacy Item 5
Please clarify the soil borrow areas: where are they and what is the status of each? Is there a
borrow area that has not been reclaimed? Does BA -3 exist? There appears to be a discrepancy
between Map 2.05.3-5 and Map 2.05.3-6 regarding these areas.
Adequacy Item 6
Map 2.05.3-7 appears to be missing some features, including (but not limited to): a culvert above
Fill 7, check dams above Pond 6, and the road to Pond 6. These and other omissions should be
added to this map. Please insure that what is on the ground matches what is in the PAP.
Adequacy Item 7
Please clarify the plan and designs for ditches on-site, particularly the ditches on the sides of the
fills. The ditches are shown on Map 2.05.3-7, however the ditch numbers do not appear to match
the ditch numbers in the design in Exhibit 15 of the PAP. Therefore, it is difficult or impossible
to compare the two to check the sizes of the ditches versus the design. For example, the 100 -
year ditch design related to Fill 7 ditches includes ditches with numbers such as D71 and D72.
On the map, however, the ditches have numbers such as D10, D11, and D14. A solution to this
problem is for NECC to create a summary table (to be placed in the PAP) with the design
parameters for each ditch and the map numbers and exhibit numbers. This will allow the reader
to cross reference the map and exhibit.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Regards,
_T? :7_
Robert D.
