Colowyo immediately dispatched its mine rescue personnel to the site, and
notified BLM and Moffat County fire crews. The wildland fire burned for approximately 25 minutes and was
extinguished naturally by rain from the same storm that started the fire. No fire lines or ground disturbing activities
occurred since the fire was extinguished so quickly.
The wildland fire ended up burning approximately 0.15 acres within the permit boundary in T4N, R93W, NW1/4 SW1/4,
of Section 20.
Since this was a natural occurring event, no ground disturbances occurred, and the event was not related to Colowyo
mining activities, Colowyo will not be conducting any mitigation measures to the burned area.
If you have any future questions please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Tony Tennyson
https://mail.google.com/mail/b/Alk_JgZHC6JMo32xowCEYHDJGgzQQTZpK8AjTfUKgx_WpHkQXm3d/u/0/?ui=2&ik=deb7fOcd20&jsver=HFKfDbXmXE... 1/2
