:J iAVGPROfessionals
% i.
Client: Cargill, Inc. Permit# M-2016-040
AGPRO Project#: 1342-01 July 12, 2017
GEOTECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
This information is presented to address the plan to mine within 200 feet of the fence located
along the northern property line of the Betty L. Mills Trust property. The mine depth adjacent to
where no structure agreement has been obtained is 45 feet. This is a dry mining operation and
mined dry. The setback from the permit/affected lands lines to the dig line will be 20 feet and
the fence at its closest point is 11.8 feet from the property line.
The following information is presented using these distances to determine the safety factors that
show there would be no potential impact to structures within 30 feet of the mine face during
mining. During mining, and when mining is complete and the slopes reclaimed to the final 3:1
slope, the 20 foot setback will be safe.
When mining approaches the perimeter of the mine area a 20 foot setback will be staked from
the perimeter line to establish the mining limit. As the mining gets to within 30 feet of the
perimeter the operator will ensure that the 3:1 slopes are maintained to prevent the slope from
failing until mining and final grading is complete. As soon as mining is complete within the
permitted area, the side slopes will be brought into the final 3:1 slope and a soil amendment will
be tilled into the slopes and re-vegetation with the approved grass mixture will occur.
The mine operator will repair or compensate damages that occur to the fence due to mining
traffic along the mine perimeter and along the haul road.
Sirs
'a y1
Chad TeVelde, PE
Sr. Professional Engineer
ENGINEERING, PLANNING, CONSULTING & REAL ESTATE
3050 67`h Avenue,Greeley, CO 80634
970.535.9318/office■ 970.535.9854/fax■ www.agpros.com
