This revision propos es to construct, operate, and reclaim two new thick- ener underflow boreholes, additional pipeline, a pump station, and associated ancillary equipment and facilities in the Southwestern Mining District (SWMD) - Panel 1 SW, and in the Western Mining District (WMD) - Panel 12 -Left. The new installa- tions are needed as a backup for the current system and to replace SWMD boreholes 2SW and 3SW if and when these boreholes are no longer functional. The boreholes will allow coal fines from the existing Washplant Facility to be transfered ans placed in sealed and abandoned underground mine workings. The Foidel Creek Mine is a/an underground coal mine located in Routt County, approximately 23 miles SW of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Coal in- terest is federal, state and private, and the surface affected is federal, state and private land. The per- mit area encompasses approximately 22,607.00 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all require- ments of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Recla- mation Act, Section 34 33 101, et seq., C.R.S., anc the regulations promulgated thereunder. Copies of the proposed decision, including stipula- tions, are on file for public inspection at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be made within ten (10) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state with rea- sonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision.
