Overall, topsand piles appeared stable and <br />shaped to the angel of repose with adequate vegetation holding the soil. <br /> <br /> <br />Photo 1: Looking west, across the pit. This area is actively <br />being backfilled to approximate original contour. The area <br />to the right in the distance has achieved AOC. <br /> <br />BACKFILLING and GRADING – Rule 4.14 <br />General Requirements: <br />o Backfilling and grading appears to be <br />proceeding as per approved post mining land <br />use, achieving approximate original contour. <br />o Overburden placement is progressing from <br />south east to north west. <br />o Overburden has been placed in area 24 <br />achieving approximate original contour <br />(AOC). Next step here is topsand placement <br />once the pit has been completely filled in <br />(Photo 2). <br />o Overburden placement and leveling was <br />taking place at time of inspection. <br />o The equipment grader was working to smooth the ground for overburden placement. <br /> <br />Photo 3: Looking south west across area that has achieved AOC.
