The change in shape of the stockpile results in minimum tum radii at the lower ditch run
has been increased from -50'to more than 70'. The attached Manning's flow
calculations show a ditch conveyance capacity well above the 11.9 CFS 0100
estimation. Volume estimate of the structure will increase to about 805K CY.
c. Collecting ditch details are included in this mailing showing cross sections for the
grass lined lateral ditches, transitional zones from lateral to main ditch, as well as the
main collection ditch itself. In addition, Manning's Flow calculations are included using
0100 input potentials from the watershed outfall immediately north of the fines stockpile
that enters the pit at the base of the northern end of the fines stockpile. These potential
outfall discharge rates are several times as high as the maximum input off all of the
lateral ditches (155CFS vs. -30CFS) from the stockpile surface. Manning's flow
calculations again show capacity to contain the larger loading estimation. Eighteen -
inch rip -rap will adequately address the high energy potential of water moving down this
3:1 slope.
2) Broadcast Seeding. A copy of the approved seed mix is included in this
mailing.
Best Regards,
4 k4-a
Randy DiLuzio
General Manager
Tezak Heavy Equipment Co., Inc.
205 Tunnel Drive
Canon City, CO. 81212
Ph.
