July 6, 2017 C-1981-022/Elk Creek Mine LDS <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br />Oxbow anticipates revising the reclamation plan to leave some pads and roads on land owned by the <br />Hotchkiss ranch, although no revision application had been submitted by the time of the inspection. <br />No further progress had been made on reclamation of the facilities area, and none is anticipated until next <br />year. Mining equipment which had been sold to Bowie had not yet been removed from the site, but it had been <br />made ready and was expected to be taken later this summer. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> Weed spraying was on-going. Although the inspection did not focus on revegetated areas, no significant <br />patches of weeds were observed. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> Recently completed reclamation was inspected on pads 17-05, -06, and -07; 18-04 and -04B; 19-06 and - <br />07; and HGA, as well as associated roads. No issues were observed and the work appeared to have been completed <br />to a high standard. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> The topsoil pile at upper Hubbard Creek had been marked, but was not inspected. <br /> <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED <br />A revised copy of the 2016 ARR was received by hand. <br /> <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) <br />N/A <br /> <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />
