Mayne Block and Stone
P.O. Box 533
Pueblo, CO 81002
July 10, 2017 RECEIVED
JUL 13 2017
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 MWINGANDSAFETY
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Dotsero Pit Permit No. M-1987-074 Bond and Acreage Reduction
To Whom It May Concern,
Attached is the fully executed Request for Full or Partial Release of Permit Area/Surety
Reduction. As stated in the request the company would like:
1. a reduction in the area from 65.5 acres to 13 acres. A map showing the new boundary is
included.
2. a reduction of the surety bond from $35,500 ($35,400 held by the BLM and $100 held by
the DRMS) to $4,000 Held by the DRMS. An estimate of the costs for an additional
seeding campaign is included. The area has been completely re-contoured at or better
than the requirements of the permit and has been reseeded. The $4,000 is an estimate of
the costs of an outside contractor to complete an additional seeding campaign in the event
the most recent seeding activities do not meet the vegetative requirement as required in
the permit.
Thank you in advance for your review of this request.
Sincerely,
mht
Matt Welte, Manager
