• Introduction: <br />® This inventory report is submitted in compliance with <br />the stipulations of the National Environmental Policy Act <br />— ._-of 1973, Executive Order 1195?, and Section 106 of the National <br />Historic Preservation Act. It was prepared at the request of <br />the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Department of the Interior, <br />• Grand Junction, Colorado, District and Area Office. <br />Subject: Special use permit for land and road use in <br />connection with coal mining activity in and near Spink Canyon, <br />� <br />Munger Creek, and gingerC�ta✓ Canyon - all located along the East <br />Salt Creek Canyon. Existing roads in Munger and Spink Canyons <br />will be improved where necessary. Sheridan Enterprises project <br />• is to make exploratory cuts into the canyon walls at designated <br />points to determine the value of coal bearing strata.
