Dargol soils are bel.w ridges on side slopes. <br />Fuera soils are on steep north-facing side slopes and foot slopes. Vamer <br />soils are on ridge tops. <br />Included in this unit are 10 percent Sanchez stony sandy loam and 10 <br />percent Midnight stony silty clay loam. Sanchez soils aze similar to ' , <br />Vamer but have a sandy profile. Midnight soils are shallow in depth to <br />shale. Also included are bands of sandstone rock outcrop along the rim <br />of mountain tops. <br />The Dargol soil'is moderately deep and well drained. It formed in <br />residuum derived dominantly from shale. Typically, the surface is covered <br />with a mat of needles and twigs 1 inch thick. The surface layer is stony <br />loam 5 inches thick. The subsoil is clay 23 inches thick over silts tone. <br />The soil is medium acid in the surface layer and slightly acid in the <br />subsoil. Depth to bedrock ranges from 20 to 40 inches thick. <br />Permeability of the Dargol soil is moderate in the surface and slay in <br />r. <br />P3E--Dargol - Fuera - Vamer complex. 10 to 45 percent slopes. This <br />map unit Se on mountain ridge tope and aide elopes. Slope is 10 Co 45 <br />percent. the native vegetation !e mainly conifers. Elevation ie 7,SD0 <br />to 9,000 feet.
