The
sample was given our identification IAD =97-6001-032-12.
The sample was analyzed for calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, and
zinc oy flame atomic absorption, for sodium and potassium by flame
atomic emission, and for selenium by hydriae neneration atomic absorp-
tion.
Boron was determined colorimetrically. ;lkaiinity, chloride, fluoride,
hardness, pH, sulfate, specific conductance, suspended solids, oil and
crease. and dissolved solids were determined by the procedures of
Staneard Methods, 14th edition. Ion balance and sodium absorption
ratio were calculated.
The r-Asuits of these analyses are presented in Table No. 1 and are
reported in mg/1 unless otherwise indicated.
'Table I!o.
Concentration in mo/1
Parameter
'--Altium
.ron, total
'lannesium
r,ancanese, total
Or\\rwCi r, \r.,..♦ .. -• rl"9• ..V \\ .i\v.v r.. .. ..1. \..i' ...
1!axwell Mine Discharge
at Return Shaft
196
3.03
O.J3
t
