The new crossing is proposed to be approximately 12 feet wide and 30 feet long,
perpendicular to the River. The River is approximately 30 feet in width at this location.
The rock of approximate D50 of 16 inches is proposed to be placed in the crossing to
avoid sediment generation during the use of the crossing. The thickness of this material is
planned to be 24 inches in depth. The existing grade of the River channel will not change;
the rock will be placed in accordance with the existing grade, except that the 12 feet road
surface will be flat, resulting in a very slight drop to continue the grade below the
crossing.
We believe that the minimal use of the crossing, combined with the planned parameters
of the installation will result in no significant impact and should be exempt under the
Nationwide 14 Permit regulations.
Michael, please call if you have any further questions. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Greg Lewicki, P.E.
Greg Lewicki and Associates
