No comment at this time. Per the History Colorado letter to <br /> DRMS dated May 18, 2017 regarding this permit their recommendations will be <br /> followed. More specifically as stated in that letter the following: <br /> The Requirements under CRS 24-80 part 13 apply and must be followed if human <br /> remains are discovered. <br /> Colorado Division of Water Resources This office was contacted <br /> March 21, 2017. No comment at that time. Per the Colorado Division of Water <br /> Resources letter to DRMS dated May 11, 2017 regarding this permit their <br /> recommendations will be followed. More specifically as stated in that letter the <br /> following: <br /> The proposed operation does not anticipate exposing groundwater.Therefore, <br /> exposure of ground water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br /> If water will be used for any purpose at this site,the applicant will need to <br /> document that the water was obtained from a legal source, or the water was <br /> diverted in priority under a water right decreed for such mining/industrial use. <br /> The subject application is for a surface mining operation on 9.9 permitted acres <br /> located approximately 4 miles northeast of Lake George, Colorado.The primary <br /> commodity to be mined at the site is gemstones.The site is proposed to be <br /> reclaimed to its current use of forestry upon completion of mining. <br /> No water will be used, and ground water is not expected to be encountered <br /> during the mining operation. <br /> If stormwater runoff is intercepted by this operation and is not diverted or <br /> captured in priority, it must be released to the stream system within 72 hours; <br /> otherwise the operator will need to make replacements for evaporation. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
