FORREST MINING PROJECT <br /> HARD ROCK/ METAL MINING <br /> LIMITED IMPACT OPERATION ( 110 (2) ) <br /> RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION <br /> 6.3.4 EXHIBIT D— RECLAMATION PLAN <br /> (Revised June 29, 2017) <br /> 6.3.4 (1) (a) Partial reclamation will occur during and prior to the end of each annual mining <br /> season. Annual reclamation will be done prior to November 30th on those <br /> excavated areas deemed not worth expanding.Those areas will be back filled <br /> with overburden and graded to their original grade. <br /> 6.3.4(1) (b) The natural slopes do not exceed 3:1 except for one area (30 feet+/- East-West <br /> by 120 feet+/- North-South) located on the easterly most side of the 9.9 permit <br /> boundary. This areas slope is approximately 2:1.See Exhibit E Reclamation Plan. <br /> If this area is disturbed erosion and surface water runoff will be controlled by <br /> contractor grade silt fence if necessary.The silt fence will be placed at the Forest <br /> Service's recommended locations.All disturbed areas will be back filled with <br /> overburden and graded to its original grade and will be in compliance with the <br /> applicable performance standards of Section 3.1. <br /> 6.3.4 (1) (c) (i) The thickness of plant growth medium to be replaced is 1 inch minimum to 5 <br /> inches maximum (Per the Forest Service recommendation). <br /> 6.3.4 (1) (c) (ii) Reclamation will be done on excavated areas deemed not worth expanding <br /> during the operation and/or at an annual reclamation prior to November.Additional seeding <br /> may take place in the spring and early summer.These areas will be backfilled to their natural <br /> pre-mining slope grade with overburden and then with plant growth medium and topsoil. <br /> The seedbed material will be loosened manually with pick, shovel and rake. <br /> The seedbed will be broadcast seeded. <br /> Mulch will not be used. <br /> No fertilizer will be used. <br /> At the end of the operation all excavations and dig sites (including previously <br /> disturbed areas) will be reclaimed. <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
