All review and comment periods as provided <br />in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation <br />operations on land located approximately 5 miles North of Palisade, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br /> <br />T10S, R98W, 6th PM Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, and 35; T11S, R98W, 6th PM Section 2 all in Mesa <br />County. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Cameo. <br /> <br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. has submitted an application for renewal of the Roadside Portals in <br />accordance with Rule 2.08.5(2). No coal extraction is anticipated, and only reclamation and <br />maintenance activiites are anticipated during this permit term. <br /> <br />This renewal application does not propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, <br />nor is there any proposed surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area.
